Kristin Myers is an award-winning journalist, producer, and communications professional that has helped launch Al Jazeera America, and has worked with other news organizations like Bloomberg News, NBC, and more. She is currently the Editor in Chief of the personal finance and economics website The Balance. Prior to this role she was an on air anchor, host, and reporter with Yahoo Finance, writing on the economy, politics, diversity, and more.

Kristin’s prior roles include Communications Officer for the global non-profit Concern Worldwide, producer at Al Jazeera America, and freelance reporter for Bloomberg News in Norway.

Kristin is an experienced reporter both in front of the camera and behind it, and has anchored television programs, done field reporting and producing, and been a digital reporter. Throughout her career she has handled press and media coordination, created editorial strategy and campaigns, as well as field reporting on humanitarian crises.

She has written on a range of issues from politics, climate change, markets, humanitarian crises, economics, personal finance, and more. Having lived in Europe for several years, Kristin has experience working in other languages and cultures.

Kristin holds a Masters Degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University, and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
